I enjoyed my stay. It is a nice hotel. We had a lovely meal in the Tribes restaurant. The breakfast was buffet which is great as you can pick and choose what you want. The staff were friendly and helpful.
For a weekend break to the city, it is a little too far from the city centre. It was between 10 to 14 euro for the taxi. But there is a bus stop outside the hotel which will bring you to the city centre.

Clayton Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The staff was friendly and responsive. I couldn't figure out how to turn a light on (it needed a room key in a slot) and they sent a representative directly to the room to help within a min or two. Everything was right about this stay. I wanted to be close to Galway but far enough for easy access to the hotel with a car. We taxied in to the city for 12 Euro (average) and sometimes waited for the bus for 1.60 Euro, which is exactly right outside the hotel. Great launching pad for day trips by rental car as well.

Military precision of the check-in and out process. Rooms are small but clean, functional with everything in it's place. Staff are very friendly and very keen to assist you with any queries that you may have.
The only thing that took the edge off the stay was the noise from the traffic outside which was at times quite frustrating, especially if you were trying to sleep.

Modern, easy to find. Used steam room and sauna. Large modern bedroom, comfortable bed. Considered the food to be excellent. Staff very helpful. Handy local bus service into Galway (a town which we did not particularly like. Countryside is lovely.
It is in a commercial district. Did not present a problem.

The family room is spacious and comfortable, with cozy beds. The cleanliness of the hotel was notable, and the warm swimming pool offered a nice relaxation spot. The music played at the bar included some inappropriate songs, unsettling for our group and really detracted from the overall vibe of the experience.

I absolutely loved the breakfast here with fresh fruit and a great mix of hot food that never disappoints! The pool was fabulous and warm, perfect for winding down after a long day. The only issue was the lack of late check-out options, but overall, it was still a very relaxing stay. 🌊
